MATCH : HHH v The Undertaker

EVENT : Wrestlemania 28

VENUE : Sun Life Stadium, Miami, Florida

DATE : 1st April 2012

STIPULATION : Hell in a Cell Match

BACKGROUND : The Undertaker was currently 19-0 at Wrestlemania having defeated Triple H in a No Holds Barred match at Wrestlemania 27. The 'Taker though wasn't happy with the way he was carted off on a stretcher following that match and decided to challenge HHH to a re-match in a Cell. After having to be persuaded to accept, Triple H eventually agreed to set up the match billed as 'The End of an Era'. The billing was based around the fact that these were the last two main event players from The Attitude Era. So could Triple H be the one to break the almighty streak or would he once again come up short?

MATCH REVIEW : This match really had an attitude era feel to it with Triple H and 'Taker beating the stuffing out of each other for thirty minutes. Looking back at the match now I do believe that this should have been Undertaker's final match and left his streak in tact at 19-0. Why? Because what a way to bow out! Defeating Triple H in a Hell in a Cell match at the Greatest Stage. The actual match was definitely better than the previous year and with Shawn Michaels as referee and JR on commentary it raised it even more. The ending was fantastic with 'Taker eventually scoring the pin after another tombstone (the same way he defeated HBK at Wrestlemania 26) and then all three men hugging at the top of the ramp was a memorable moment. Another Undertaker Wrestlemania Classic!!
