MATCH : The Brisco Brothers v North-South Connection

PROMOTION : WWF

EVENT : MSG Event Dec 1984

VENUE : Madison Square Gardens, New York

DATE : 28th December 1984

CHAMPIONSHIP : WWF Tag Team Titles

BACKGROUND : One of the best tag teams of all time was the Brisco Brothers from Oklahoma but this match was towards the end of their very successful careers. The opponents today were the reigning Tag Team Champions the North-South Connection of Dick Murdoch and Adrian Adonis. Adonis had been teaming with Murdoch since his partnership with Jesse 'The Body' Ventura was cut short due to injury. So could the good ol' boys from Oklahoma have one last run at the top of the tag team division?...

MATCH REVIEW : This was a typical old school wrestling match that follows the simple rules of Face v Heel. The Brisco Brothers are so technically sound and have the amazing MSG crowd behind them. The dirty heels of Murdoch and Adonis were willing to do anything to walk out as champions. This is one of the best tag team matches of the eighties in my opinion and that is saying something since the 80's was the best era for tag team wrestling. A simple yet effective match that let's you get right behind the faces.
