BACKGROUND : Randy Savage and Tito Santana had been feuding for the last few months but the fire had intensified between the two when Savage cheated to beat Santana to win the Intercontinental Title in February. The feud became personal and a No DQ match was needed to try and settle this feud once and for all. Could the stipulation bring one of the best feuds from 1980's WWF to an end or would it only help to increase the hatred between to of the greatest Intercontinental champions of all time?

MATCH REVIEW : This was a great match and a good way to settle a long running feud so that Savage could go on to defend his Intercontinental Title against different opponents. I would suggest that this was the best bout that Savage and Santana had together probably due to the fact that this match was given a great amount of time to develop. Savage would go on to feud all over the country with George 'The Animal' Steele, Hulk Hogan and Ricky Steamboat whilst Tito would join the tag team ranks with Rick Martel as Strike Force. Both men will definitely go down in history as two of the best Intercontinental champions of all time.
